2 July 2019: Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing (Presentations and report available)

A workshop on Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing, jointly organised by the European Commission, EFFRA, the Big Data Value association and euRobotics will take place on 2 July 2019 in Brussels.

The aim of the workshop is to provide an insight into:

  • How research and innovation projects and European or International Initiatives are already addressing Artificial Intelligence for manufacturing
  • Artificial Intelligence- needs & requirements from the point of view of manufacturers (differentiating between factory floor requirements, supply chain management requirements etc)
  • The state of the art, i.e. how today’s solutions address the current needs and what will be the future requirements in better integrating artificial intelligence in existing systems.

The event will also provide networking opportunities on the Factories of the Future 2020 call on artificial intelligence for manufacturing (the planned ICT- 38 call which will open soon). While the format of the workshop will not be a classical brokerage event with pitches, during coffee breaks bilateral informal talks can be done. Organisations interested in the call are invited to use online-matchmaking in the EFFRA innovation portal.
