A recent study sheds light on the vital role of Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) and their Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) in supporting industrial deep tech spin-offs across Europe.
The report explores how these spin-offs contribute to innovation, value chain creation, and the commercialization of high-risk technologies. It also highlights key challenges, such as talent attraction and team development over time.
Based on input from 29 TTO Circle members and 49 deep tech spin-offs, the study offers concrete recommendations—validated by stakeholders—to strengthen Europe’s position in global innovation. It directly aligns with the ambitions outlined in the Draghi report, positioning deep tech as a driver of Europe’s economic renewal.
