EFFRA is structuring its work on high-priority research and innovation topics in Working Groups (WGs). EFFRA currently has 6 Working Groups running, destined for EFFRA members only, with the following thematic focuses:
- WG1: Productive and flexible manufacturing
- WG2: Circularity; re-manufacturing; circular products
- WG3: Humans in the workplace. How jobs are changing
- WG4: Manufacturing needs of the energy sectors
- WG5: Manufacturing needs of the transport sectors
- WG6: Exploitation of research results
The Working Groups serve as a platform to:
- Exchange information, show and share expertise in specific areas.
- Identify capabilities or needs in capabilities to implement specific initiatives and work with specific technologies and approaches.
- Identify industry challenges and research challenges and formulate a common, consistent view on these for further dissemination.
- Propose solutions to address these challenges (collectively, individually, at the national level, European level, etc.).
- Enrich and specify more the EFFRA R&D Roadmap.
- Identify and share information about the relevant funding opportunities.
- Identify cooperation opportunities.
