EFFRA is structuring its work on high-priority research and innovation topics in Working Groups (WGs). EFFRA currently has 6 Working Groups running, destined for EFFRA members only, with the following thematic focuses:

  • WG1: Productive and flexible manufacturing
  • WG2: Circularity; re-manufacturing; circular products
  • WG3: Humans in the workplace. How jobs are changing
  • WG4: Manufacturing needs of the energy sectors
  • WG5: Manufacturing needs of the transport sectors
  • WG6: Exploitation of research results

The Working Groups serve as a platform to:

  • Exchange information, show and share expertise in specific areas.
  • Identify capabilities or needs in capabilities to implement specific initiatives and work with specific technologies and approaches.
  • Identify industry challenges and research challenges and formulate a common, consistent view on these for further dissemination.
  • Propose solutions to address these challenges (collectively, individually, at the national level, European level, etc.).
  • Enrich and specify more the EFFRA R&D Roadmap.
  • Identify and share information about the relevant funding opportunities.
  • Identify cooperation opportunities.
