CECIMO represents the interests of the European Machine Tool Industries, particularly in relation to authorities and associations. CECIMO promotes the European Machine Tool Industry and its development in the fields of economy, technology and science. The members of CECIMO are the 15 national associations of machine tool builders that represent over 1600 industrial enterprises in Europe, many of which are SMEs.
CECIMO undertakes four key activities:
- Statistics and Market Studies/ Market Surveillance
- Monitoring: EU dossiers, Legislation and Standardisation
- Exhibitions – Cooperation with Machine Tools associations over the world
- Research and Development activities
