FLASH-COMP final event 24 September

How can advanced process monitoring, decision support systems and Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM) help transform the production of large composite parts?

The European Project Flash Comp is organising their final event on the 24 September 2026, composite manufacturing leaders, technology developers and European researchers will come together at Azimut in Avigliana, Turin, for a dedicated event exploring how innovation developed through European research can move from the laboratory into real industrial production.

Hosted by Azimut as part of the Horizon Europe FLASH-COMP project, the event will focus on innovation in action, showcasing the progress of FLASH-COMP technologies from development and testing through to validation in an industrial environment.

From R&D to industrial validation

The event offers participants an opportunity to see first-hand how FLASH-COMP solutions have evolved and how they can be applied to address real manufacturing challenges.

Alongside demonstrations and insights into the technology, attendees will hear about the practical experience of implementing these solutions in an industrial setting — including the challenges encountered, approaches taken and lessons learned along the way.

The programme will also explore the potential of advanced monitoring and decision-support technologies to support more efficient and reliable manufacturing processes, particularly for the production of large composite components.

Connecting research and manufacturing

Bringing together industry, technology developers and research organisations, the event aims to create a space for knowledge exchange and discussion around the future of composite manufacturing in Europe.
