What if the capabilities shaping Europe’s factories could also strengthen its defence readiness?

From advanced production technologies to adaptable processes and resilient supply chains, European manufacturing has much to contribute. Turning this potential into industrial capability means understanding where civilian and defence needs meet, what can be shared and what requires a different approach. For EFFRA’s community, this is a timely opportunity to explore how manufacturing innovation can serve new applications, connect with defence partners and strengthen Europe’s industrial capacity.

The webinar will bring together European policy perspectives, industrial experience and research expertise to explore the opportunities and practical challenges of defence and dual-use manufacturing. It will examine how manufacturers and technology providers can contribute, what adapting to defence requirements involves, and how collaboration can turn existing expertise into concrete applications.

Opened by Zeljko Pazin, Executive Director of EFFRA, and moderated by Herman Derache, Managing Director of Sirris and member of EFFRA’s Board of Directors, the session will combine short presentations, concrete projects and use cases, and a panel discussion. Contributions from DG DEFIS, companies and research organisations will connect European priorities and support opportunities with the realities of industrial production. Open to all EFFRA members.
