LNI4.0-ValidationI4.0Components - Validation of the concept of Industrie 4.0 Components in an existing environment

Implementation of the administration shell for Industrie 4.0 components using openAASto validate selected RAMI4.0 concepts in an existing environment. (Application for manufacturing industry)

Initial situation: The basis is the Industrie 4.0 demonstrator developed for the 2015 IT Summit, which illustrates the linking of the real and the virtual world. The demonstrator combines a physical highly flexible transport system (multi-carrier system developed by Siemens AG and FestoAG & Co. KG) and a virtualized production system. The demonstrator was developed using conventional technologies and approaches and has individual connectivity to a data analytics cloud.

Solution: Implementation of the administration shell for Industrie 4.0 components using openAASfor selected relevant components of the Industrie 4.0 demonstrator. There should be the option of
using a viewer to browse through the relevant openAAS objects and their contents.

Project phases:

  • Workshops in the evosoft test lab
    • Commitment to the "Value Based Service" application scenario defined by Plattform Industrie 4.0
    • Agreement on use cases to be implemented.
    • Discussion of resources provided by ACPLT at RWTH Aachen University.
  • Provision of past development results from the openAAS project.
  • Linkage of data from the real demonstrator with the openAAS objects.
  • Development of an openAAS viewer for visualization of the actual modeled openAAS objects.
  • Presentation of the results started at the 2017 Hanover Fair.
