The Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Research Centre at Aston University is dedicated to advancing next generation manufacturing aligned with the principles of Industry 4.0 and sustainability. Our research focuses on smart factory technologies, digitalisation, cyber-physical systems, and data-driven decison-making to enable highly flexible, efficient and low-carbon production. We actively develop solutions for sustainable manufacturing, circular economy integration and ressources optimisation, supporting European industry in achieving competitiveness and climate-neutral goals.
