IDENER is a high-tech, research-intensive company started in 2010 at the University of Seville’s School of Engineering by a group of recent PhD graduates with a strong theoretical background in control and systems engineering. Nowadays, IDENER is an interdisciplinary company capable of developing increasingly intricate AI applications for engineering and science. So far, IDENER has become a valued partner of top research centres, universities and companies. With this background, IDENER is singularly positioned to create real value by applying AI beyond the software industry. One of the company’s most distinctive assets is the strong scientific background of its multidisciplinary research team of +115 professionals with many years of R&D experience and participation in more than 105 European projects. Strong implementation capacity supported by complementary facilities, including a biotechnology lab, a dedicated AI infrastructure, and a flexible pilot-scale warehouse — bridging AI research with scientific and industrial applications. In this line, IDENER explores the potential of AI for solving challenging science and engineering problems. To do so, IDENER uses an extended interpretation of AI that fuses machine learning, systems modelling, advanced control, and mathematical optimisation. And with that, aims to create – new, better, sustainable – technologies and business models to ultimately contribute to human development and the advancement of the EU industry.
