FEDERMACCHINE is the Italian national federation of associations representing manufacturers of capital goods intended for industrial and artisanal manufacturing processes, and it serves as a reference point for users worldwide. It brings together 12 industrial associations active across a wide range of market sectors (machine tools, textile machinery, woodworking machinery, plastics, ceramics, bricks, glass, footwear, rubber, packaging, etc.). Federmacchine promotes and represents the interests of the Italian capital goods manufacturing industry at national and internationa level. Its main activities include: – institutional representation and advocacy for the capital goods sector toward Confidustria and relevant national, EU and international institutions and organisations; – protection and promotion of the capital goods industry and enhancement of the sector’s image, including through code of conduct/ethical standards when applicable; – analysis and handling of issues that directly or indirectly are of common interest to member associations, and implementation of related actions; – studies, research and sector intelligence, including organising debates and conferences on economic and social topics of interest to the represented sectors; – information and support services for member association on matters of sector interest (economic, legal/regulatory and technical); – organisation of events and knowledge-sharing initiatives (e.g. webinars) for members associations and stakeholders; – development of shared tools and guidance on regulatory topics impacting member companies (e.g. initiatives on the EU Data Act, including work on a baseline contract/guidelines to be shared with member associations).
