EIRAS is an independent, non-profit research and innovation platform shaping the next generation of resilient, human-centric, and sustainable manufacturing systems in Europe. Positioned at the inter-section of industrial research, deployment, and standardization, EIRAS acts as a structuring and co-ordination hub for cross-sector collaboration in line with Industry 5.0 and emerging FP10 priorities. The institute advances key enabling technologies including Industrial AI, Digital Twins, the Asset Ad-ministration Shell (AAS), and Digital Product Passports (DPP), with a strong focus on interoperability, lifecycle data integration, and scalable industrial adoption. Through pilot-driven validation, system-level integration, and close collaboration with industrial partners, EIRAS contributes to the opera-tionalization of data-driven manufacturing ecosystems and resilient value chains. EIRAS actively aligns with and contributes to European initiatives such as the European Factories of the Future Re-search Association and the Made in Europe Partnership, supporting the development of strategic research agendas and the translation of policy objectives into industrial practice. By strengthening collaboration across stakeholders and enabling coordinated innovation, EIRAS reinforces Europe’s technological sovereignty, strategic autonomy, and transition towards circular, sustainable, and com-petitive manufacturing systems.
