One of the groups performs research activities linked to lot-size-one, zero-defect manufacturing and agile manufacturing; topics covered by this include design and task allocation in flexible assembly, digital twin of smart factories, maintenance and production management. In addtion, this also covers the topics of lean manufacturing, value chain mapping, logistics and supply chain management, material handling & warehousing, assembly line feeding, virtual commissioning, and AR/VR for smart assembly.
