On 20 May, the RaRe² project will host its Open Day online, bringing together project partners, industry representatives, and external stakeholders for a dynamic exchange on the project’s ongoing work and its contribution to resilient manufacturing in Europe.
The event is designed as an open forum to present the latest developments of RaRe² and to engage the wider manufacturing community in discussions on how to respond to fast-changing industrial conditions and evolving value chain dynamics. It will provide participants with insights into the project’s foundations, its industrial use cases, and the tools currently under development to support more adaptive and resilient production systems.
Beyond a project update, the RaRe² Open Day aims to foster dialogue between research and industry, creating a space where ideas, solutions, and stakeholder perspectives can converge around the practical uptake and exploitation of project results.
Agenda Highlights
Part I: RaRe² Foundations & Use Cases
The session will open with a welcome and introduction by Fraunhofer, followed by an overview of the RaRe² toolbox ecosystem for modern manufacturing, presented by R2M and SYX.
Participants will then be introduced to the project’s four industrial use cases, illustrating how RaRe² concepts are being applied in real-world manufacturing contexts. (Further details will be shared during the event.)
Part II: RaRe² Tools in Action
The second part of the Open Day will feature live demonstrations of selected RaRe² tools, showcasing their functionality and industrial relevance:
- Multi-Modal Guidance System – PROFACTOR GmbH
- Matchmaking Tool for Partner Search – Erre Quadro
- Early Detection of Reconfiguration Needs – Fraunhofer IWU
- Skill Gap Detection Tool – R2M
- Production Optimisation Tool – EnginSoft
The session will conclude with a Q&A discussion moderated by EWF, followed by a summary and outlook provided by Fraunhofer.
