The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is the third oldest University in Greece providing education both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Management Science and Technology, Informatics, and Statistics. The Research Centre (AUEB R.C.) was established in 1983 as part of the Athens University of Economics and Business in order to coordinate and facilitate the administrative part of research projects by the University labs or indivudal academics. ELTRUN is the E-Business Research Laboratory of AUEB. Founded in 1992, it aims to establish a European centre of excellence in research and development in Digital Transformation. ELTRUN currently consists of more than 40 researchers, including 5 members of the academic staff of AUEB. ELTRUN focuses on multiple facets of digital transformation in manufacturing, including information systems design and evaluation, business modelling and digital entrepreneurship, digital twins, data marketplaces, production planning and scheduling, analytics and optimization, as demonstrated in various EU or industrial research and innovation projects.
