CIDETEC is a private organization for applied research founded in 1997 that integrates three technological institutes:
- The CIDETEC institute for Energy Storage, specialised in creating new battery technology and facilitating its transfer to industry.
- The CIDETEC Surface Engineering institute, focused on the development of surfaces and materials and their application methods.
- The CIDETEC institute for Nanomedicine, devoted to the development of innovative materials in the field of biomedicine.
CIDETEC is located in San Sebastian, Spain, and currently employs a workforce of 175, 95% of whom are university graduates and 50% PhD holders. Its volume of activity came up to € 12.7M in 2017.
