Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is the only Spanish Technical University to feature in all world University rankings. It has the highest revenue from competitive research (R&D contracts, consulting and service delivery, spin-off) among the Spanish Universities and is a national leader in patent exploitation . Constituted in 1971, it comprises nearly 40.000 students, 15 schools, and 11 university research centres of excellence.
UPV participation in EFFRA is organized around eight Research Groups and Institutes with interest and experience in different areas of Manufacturing. The areas covered by these research groups are: Industrial Automation and Computing, Intelligent Systems, Production Management and Engineering, Microwave Technology, Materials Technology, Human Centred Technologies, Analysis and Optimization of Agrofood Processes and Nanophotonics.
