The European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA), together with EIT Manufacturing and ManuFuture, is pleased to announce the third edition of the European Manufacturing Conference (EMC 2026), taking place on 16–17 September 2026 in Brussels.
As global power dynamics continue to shift, accompanied by rapid technological developments and emerging security challenges, EMC 2026 will focus on the theme “A new global order: Securing Europe’s industrial leadership.”
The conference will explore how research, development and innovation (R&I) can strengthen Europe’s position at the forefront of global industrial leadership.
The EMC 2026 programme will address a range of topics of strategic importance to the European manufacturing ecosystem, including:
Industrial and trade competitiveness
The next wave of breakthrough technologies and the role of R&I
Attracting and developing future talent
Investment and scale-up strategies
Circularity as a competitive industrial advantage
Through plenary sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities, the conference will provide a platform to exchange views, share best practices, and strengthen cooperation between industry, research and policy stakeholders.
EFFRA, EIT Manufacturing and ManuFuture share a common vision: that collaboration is essential to building a strong, sustainable and competitive manufacturing sector in Europe. The European Manufacturing Conference reflects this commitment by bringing together key actors to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping Europe’s industrial future.
