The European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) is the Brussels-based organisation representing the European chemical industry with its 29,000 large, medium and small companies that employ a total workforce of 1.3 million people and account for nearly a third of world chemical production.

CEFIC and  the European Technology Platform SusChem seeks to engage in an open dialogue with the wider stakeholder community, to create a strategic research agenda and to mobilise private and public research investments.
