Bratislava (SK) 26 - 29 September 2016 - Digital Assembly 2016

The 2016 edition of the European Union's Digital Assembly will take place from 26 to 19 September in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Digital Assembly 2016 will discuss and exchange ideas with stakeholders on the European digital policy. It will feature a plenary session that will contain keynote and inspirational speeches, a CEO's debate and six parallel workshops that will cover key topics of the Digital Single Market strategy.


Support of the digitisation of manufacturing will be explored in workshop one: "Digitising European Industry: Boosting Digital Innovation Hubs Across Europe". This workshop aims to increase the understanding of regional and national authorities on the concept of Digital Innovations Hubs (DIHs) and exploring the barriers and opportunities to combine efforts in the political and financial support of these DIHs.

Brussels (BE) 14 October - Partnership (PPP) Info Day 2016

The 2016 edition of the the Partnership (PPP) Info Day will take place on 14 October at the Charlemagne building in Brussels.

This Info Day will focus on the 2017 Factories of the Future call and will include presentations on each call topic by Commission representatives, opportunities for questions and brokerage session for organisations seeking potential project partners or to join a potential project consortium.

Bratislava (SK) 26 - 28 October 2016 - REinEU2016

Re-Industrialisation of the European Union 2016 (REinEU2016) is a major industry innovation conference which will take place in Bratislava (Slovakia) from 26 to 28 October 2016.

REinEU2016 will gather together leading manufacturing, research and innovation and business experts to discuss the re-industrialisation in Europe and the future of European industry.

REinEU2016 is an official conference of the Slovakian presidency of the Council of the EU.

Bordeaux (FR) 22 & 23 November 2016 - Workshop: Factories of the Future for Aerospace

On 22 & 23 November EFFRA (supported through the FoF-Impact coordination action) and Aerospace Valley in a collaboration with CAPPADOCIA European project and Regional Council Nouvelle Aquitaine, will hold a workshop under the theme “Factories of the Future for Aerospace”.

The aim of the workshop is to stimulate the take up of results of pre-competitive projects in Aerospace industry and present the actual and future innovative trends and emerging technologies. This event will include four Parallel ‘Pitch’ sessions:, which are focused on providing short and to-the-point presentations (‘pitches’) about innovative manufacturing technologies and approaches. Presentations will be approx. 10 minutes long.

The sessions will cover the following themes:

  • Pitch Session 1: Product and process Simulation
  • Pitch Session 2: Factory automation
  • Pitch Session 3: Advanced Material processing
  • Pitch Session 4: Collaborative supply chain

Brussels (BE) 1 December 2016 - Factories of the Future – Making Innovation Happen

On 1 December the FoF-Impact coordination action project will hold a major workshop: Factories of the Future – Making Innovation Happen. The workshop will take place in the Diamant Building (Brussels).

This workshop is the concluding event of the project. It will focus on the successful industrial exploitation of FoF project results is organised by EFFRA through the FoF-Impact Coordination Action in cooperation with the Co-FACTOR, EFFECTIVE, FOCUS and FOFAM Coordination Actions.

Event Aims

  • Show the tangible outcome of the FoF-7-2014 CSAs, in particular in terms of services that stimulate industrial exploitation
  • Promote services offered by other service providers
  • Promote exploitable results

By addressing the three points, the event will not only discuss services, but will also be a service to the projects.

Pitch Sessions & Exhibition

This event will include ‘Pitch’ sessions which will focus on providing short and to-the-point presentations (‘pitches’) about innovative manufacturing technologies and approaches.   Presentations will most likely be 10 minutes long.
