Meet the EFFRA team

Željko Pazin heads the EFFRA Office and is responsible for the daily management of the association, including:

implementing of decisions taken by the Board of Directors

managing the financial and human resources of the association

governmental, public and media relations

coordinating and liaising with EFFRA members

Chris Decubber manages the EFFRA research programme and is responsible for:

implementing the decisions taken by the EFFRA working groups

generating consensus on common research priorities

managing the in-house expert database

developing an innovation and knowledge transfer mechanism

Since 1993, Mr Decubber has been involved in matters relating to cooperation in cross-border research. He has led several European research projects and has a strong background in technology roadmapping. He has worked both in research centres and industry, focusing in particular on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Mr Decubber is of Belgian nationality and holds a Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven.

Mr. Patrick Kennedy

Patrick Kennedy is responsible communications at EFFRA and is tasked with:

Drafting, editing, proof-reading and dissemination of EFFRA publications

Production of web based material and media content

Public affairs activities

Events management

Mr Kennedy has worked previously in the Irish Senate, the Department of Enterprise and as an academic specialisation, has researched social partnership in Ireland. His work has primarily taken a look at the co-operation of unions and employers from a public affairs and communications perspective.

Originally from Ireland, Mr Kennedy holds a Masters in Public Affairs and Political Communication from Dublin Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts with honours in History, Politics and Social Studies from the University of Limerick.
